Smallville - Hostage Season 9 Episode 20 Much to Clark's surprise, Martha Kent returns to Smallville with her new boyfriend, Perry White in tow. Lois and Perry realize they are both working on the same story about the Red Queen, and decide to team up, which ultimately puts them in serious danger. Chloe helps Clark search for the Book of Rao, which they believe contains information on how to stop Zod and his army.

Smallville - Sacrifice Season 9 Episode 19 Tess breaks into Watchtower, triggering an elaborate security system that Chloe installed, ultimately trapping the two women inside. Chloe realizes that the Kandorians are downloading information about from the Watchtower server, which prompts her to make a drastic move. Oliver confronts Zod and winds up clinging to life with a Z scorched into his chest. Clark realizes Zod has given his soldiers super powers.

Smallville - Charade Season 9 Episode 18 The Blur comes between Clark and Lois when she vows to protect the Blur's secret... unaware that Zod is impersonating Metropolis' hero. Meanwhile, former D.A. Sachs is out of prison and working with the Black King to learn the identity of the Blur, and a new editor gives Clark and Lois an ultimatum.

Smallville - Upgrade Season 9 Episode 17 Lois investigates a hidden lab where Tess' scientists are conducting experiments with red kryptonite. She inadvertently starts an explosion, and when Clark later investigates, he becomes infected. His worse self is unleashed and he joins forces with Zod against the humans, forcing Tess and Chloe to team up to stop them both.

Smallville - Checkmate Season 9 Episode 16 Tess engineers the abduction of Green Arrow and delivers him to Amanda Waller, the head of Checkmate. He escapes and warns Clark and Chloe, who discover that John Jones is conducting his own investigation. Clark confronts Tess, who reveals that Amanda's true objective is Chloe, and the heroes who work with Watchtower.

Smallville - Escape Season 9 Episode 15 Clark and Lois head out of town for a quiet romantic getaway, but their plans are thwarted when they run into Chloe and Oliver at their Bed & Breakfast Inn. The couples' awkward moment is interrupted by the arrival of the Silver Banshee, who sets her sights on Clark and Oliver. Meanwhile, Tess faces off with Zod with a surprising result.
